Mixed Media Layout

Hello friends,

Preksha here from STAY CREATIVE. Hope you all had a good start to this year.
Today I am here sharing my mixed media layout. And the inspiration BEAUTY.

Steps:

* Take any waste packaging card board and cover it with Gesso properly and make sure it dries well before proceeding to next step

* Give texture using I CRAFT stencil and allow it to dry.

* Next step is to get little birdie's Color splash - lemon zing and ocean mist and spray it well. Dry them with the help of heat gun

* Once you get the desired result, grab the yellow cotton thread and wrap it around the packaging board and secure the ends properly.

* Take 2 small cheese cloth pieces and stick it  on the thread with the help of heat gun  followed by the Butterfly embellishment which i have made using Mudra Craft stamps.

* Make 2 more small butterfly embellishments and stick it randomly.

* Lastly stick the "beautiful like a butterfly" sentiment at the bottom. Which is again made using the same mudra craft stamps.

* Give a final touch with some glitter and pearls.

QUILLING EARRINGS

Wish you all a very happy New Year. Hope this year brings you all a lot of happiness, peace and
prosperity.

Paper quilling is an enjoyable way to create beautiful and masterful works of art. You can quickly roll up a simple greeting card or spend hundreds oh hours manipulating paper strips into intricate paper mosaics. How you use  the Paper strips and what you really make is up to you and how much time you want to spend and perhaps how much patience you have, but the overall concept begins with the same thing: Rolled paper strips/shapes.

This earrings were made by me long back, since this is my first post i thought to share it with you all.

Materials used/ required:
> Dark green Quilling strips -3 mm size
> White Quilling strips - 3 mm
> jump rings
> Earring hooks
> Glue
> jewelry plier
> Quiller ( a must have tool for quilling)

we have to make 3 different sizes of round

Step 01: small round
To make small round cut 1 dark green and 1 white strip into half.  stick the strips  as follows (1/2 dark green - 1 white- 1/2 dark green). Quill it with the quiller to a tight coil, stick and secure it at the end.

Step 02: Medium round
Take 1 and a half dark green and 1 white quilling strip. stick  the strips as follows (1 dark green - 1 white- 1/2 dark green).Quill it with the quiller to a tight coil, stick and secure it at the end.

Step 03: Big round
For the third and final round take 2 and a half  dark green and 1 white quilling strip. stick the strips as follows ( 2 dark green - 1 white - 1/2 dark green). Quill it with the quiller to a tight coil, stick and secure it at the end.

Step 04: Slug shape (shape similar to leaves)
This is just the reference image to let you all know  how the slug shape looks like.
To make this slug  shape  stick 1/2 dark green and 1/2 white quilling strip together. Quil it to a loose coil keeping dark green strip first. This shape canbe created by either wrapping one end around the tip of your finger and then doing the same to the other end but in the opposite direction. once done make one more similar slug shape as we require 2 slug shapes in 1 earring.

Repeat all four steps again for the second earring.

Step 05: Giving the finished shape
Once all the parts of the earrings are quilled stick them in the desired shape as shown in the 1st picture. Let it dry.

Step 06: Joining the earring hook
Once the earrings are dried connect the upper part (slug shape part)  with the earring hook  using the jump ring and plier. And you are done with this beautiful Quilling earrings.!!

You can customise it to any color of your choice to match your outfits.!!

Hope you all like it !!

Thanks
